Wild Adventures in Valdosta Entrance

Visit Valdosta invited us to spend the weekend in Valdosta, Georgia and visit Wild Adventures.

Getting to Wild Adventures in Valdosta

Wild Adventures is located at 3766 Old Clyattville Road in Valdosta, Georgia. The park is easily accessible by car. If you are driving to Valdosta, use your GPS to plan the best route. Valdosta is accessible via major highways and interstates, including I-75, US-41, and US-221. These highways connect to neighboring cities such as Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee. Wild Adventures is located just four miles off Exit 13 on I-75 near Valdosta, Georgia. From Tallahassee, Florida the drive is about an hour and a half.

What Makes Wild Adventures Special

Located in South Georgia, Wild Adventures in Valdosta is a rare blend of thrills, animals, and water attractions all in one place. The moment you walk through the gates, you’ll realize it’s more than just a theme park. What sets this park apart is the way it brings together three experiences – rides, zoo-like animal exhibits, and a full water park – all included in one ticket price.

From towering roller coasters to toddler-friendly rides, there’s something for every thrill level. Splash Island, the on-site Valdosta GA water park, is a refreshing retreat during the hot summer months. And the animal encounters add an interactive and educational bonus that makes the whole experience feel extra special.

Planning and Purchasing Wild Adventures Tickets

Purchasing your Wild Adventures tickets in advance is one of the easiest ways to save time and money. Tickets are more affordable than many other amusement parks, and when you buy online, you’ll usually find lower rates than at the gate. If you’re visiting for multiple days, the two-day ticket option is worth looking into. It gives you a chance to explore the park without rushing, especially if you want to fully enjoy both the rides and Splash Island.

For locals or families planning more than one visit, a season pass is the best value. Perks include free parking, discounts on food and merchandise, and access to special events. If you love live music, concerts are also included for passholders. Checking the Wild Adventures website before your trip can help you catch special ticket offers or seasonal discounts that make your visit even more budget-friendly.

Parking at Wild Adventures

Parking at Wild Adventures Theme Park is a hassle-free experience for visitors. Upon arriving at the park, you’ll approach the parking terminals and pay for your parking pass. There is ample parking available past the gates, making it easy to find a spot for your vehicle. The parking lot is located near the park’s main entrance so you should have a relatively short walk.

When to Visit Wild Adventures

One of the most important Wild Adventures tips is to consider when to visit. The park is busiest on weekends and holidays, so if you’re able to go on a weekday, you’ll enjoy shorter lines and a more relaxed experience. Summer mornings are ideal for beating the heat and catching popular rides before the sun is at its peak.

Wild Adventures features special seasonal events. As the fall approaches, the park transforms into a spooky wonderland. Great Pumpkin LumiNights features a jungle of jack-o-lanterns, including towering pumpkin sculptures, and a crop of sunflowers lighting up the night. During the day, you can experience a fun foam party and a huge Pumpkin Spice Festival.

When the holiday season arrives, take part in Wild Adventures Christmas with twinkling lights, colorful decorations, and lots of cheer. Watch an awe-inspiring floating lake spectacular featuring thousands of sparkling lights reflecting across the water, walk through an illuminated tunnel dancing to your favorite Christmas songs, visit the Gingerbread Village, and look forward to meeting beloved Christmas characters.

Wild Adventures Attractions

Prepare to experience a rush like never before as you conquer Wild Adventures’ signature roller coasters. Feel the wind in your hair and the adrenaline surge through your veins as you soar through twists, turns, and inversions. From the mind-bending loops of Swamp Things to the breathtaking drops of the Twisted Typhoon, these rides will leave you screaming for more. Families with younger visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions designed specifically for them, ensuring everyone can partake in the excitement.

Wild Adventures Rides

The Oasis Outpost area of the park is a great spot to enjoy for families with little ones. There are several rides and attractions all in this one area.

Wild Adventures Discovery Outpost

The Safari Train is a must-do. Ride the train around to see some of your favorite animals such as giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and more!

Animal Encounters

Another highlight of Wild Adventures in Valdosta is the chance to interact with animals. The park is home to over 200 species, including giraffes, tigers, and lemurs. You can even hand-feed a giraffe or watch an alligator demonstration. These moments offer a break from the high-energy rides and add a memorable, personal element to the day.

Wild Adventures Giraffe Feeding

For families with younger children, the animal areas are both fun and educational. The zoo-like setup is easy to explore and keeps kids engaged. Whether you spend ten minutes or a full hour visiting the animal exhibits, it adds extra value to your day at the park.

Shows and Entertainment

Step into the world of entertainment at Wild Adventures, where live shows and performances will captivate you. Witness awe-inspiring animal presentations, where trainers showcase the intelligence and agility of animals like tigers and alligators. With a full schedule of events, make sure to plan your day accordingly to catch the must-see shows.

Wild Adventures Animal Encounter

Be sure to check the schedule in the app for trainer talks and animal encounters throughout the park during your visit. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with some of the animals and ask any questions.

Dining at Wild Adventures

With all of the action, you’ll definitely work up an appetite. Luckily, Wild Adventures in Valdosta has dining options across the park to keep everyone fueled up. You’ll find classic theme park food like burgers, pizza, and fries, along with sweet treats like funnel cakes and ice cream.

Wild Adventures Lonestar BBQ
Wild Adventures Sugar Shack

There are also lighter, healthier options including grilled items and salads. Bringing a refillable water bottle is one of our favorite Wild Adventures tips, especially in the warmer months. You’ll stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary lines or extra costs.

Wild Adventures Splash Island Water Park

Splash Island Water Park

One of the top attractions is the Splash Island Valdosta, GA water park. With 27 acres of water rides, slides, and pools, this area of the park is perfect for cooling down on a hot day. It’s included with all Wild Adventures tickets, so you don’t have to pay extra to enjoy this part of the experience.

Wild Adventures Splash Island Water Park Lazy River

The water park features a wave pool, a lazy river, and towering slides that offer fast-paced fun. There are also kid-friendly splash zones with mini slides and interactive water play. If you’re looking for a more private place to relax, cabanas are available to rent. Heading to Splash Island in the early afternoon gives you the perfect break from the heat and lets you recharge before diving back into the rides.

What to Bring to Wild Adventures

You’ll be doing a lot of walking at Wild Adventures, so it’s important to wear comfortable shoes. If you plan to ride some of the more intense roller coasters, I also would not recommend any slide on shoes or sandals – you’ll want them to be secure!

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The weather in Valdosta can be hot and sunny, so it’s important to protect yourself from the sun. You should also bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Portable fans are a good idea for the heat.

If you’re planning to spend some time at Splash Island Water Park, you’ll want to pack bathing suits, towels, and a change of dry clothes. Water shoes are a good idea for walking around on the hot walkways.

Wild Adventures has FuelRod kiosks throughout the park, so if you already have one, you’re in luck! These are portable chargers that, after you buy your first one, you can swap out for a new fully charged one at no cost. They have these at Disney and they are so convenient!

I packed my crossbody belt bag similarly to how I pack my Disney park bag, so check out that post if you need some more ideas.

Essential Wild Adventure Tips

To ensure a seamless and enjoyable visit, consider a few of these tips. Most importantly, plan your visit in advance. Be sure to check the park hours for the dates you’re interested in and choose the ticket option that suits your needs. Remember, purchasing your tickets online in advance can also save you some money!

Download the Wild Adventures app on your smartphone. You’ll be able to save rides, attractions, and more to your favorites and start planning out your day. Take a peek at the times for any of the animal encounters you’re interested in so you don’t miss them. I highly recommend one of the giraffe feedings!

There are lockers available if you’ll be bringing things for the water park and don’t want to tote them around all day or go back out to your vehicle in the parking lot.

Be sure to take breaks throughout the day. Spend some time in the shade and relax a little bit. Doing too much can wear everyone out quickly.

Bring a stroller if you have little ones. With all of the walking, they’ll enjoy being able to take breaks. There are strollers to rent if you don’t bring your own with you.

By being prepared and organized, you’ll maximize your time and make the most of every thrilling moment. Make sure to follow these Wild Adventure tips for your visit.

New Campground at Wild Adventures

As part of a continuing multi-phased expansion, the adventure gets bigger when Wild Adventures provides families with a one-of-a-kind way to sleep under the stars and near the animals at an all-new seven-acre campground adjacent to the theme park.

Exploring Valdosta

While Wild Adventures may be the highlight of your visit to Valdosta, there is so much more to explore in this charming city. Take a moment to discover other local attractions, enjoy delicious dining experiences, and unwind in comfortable accommodations. Extend your stay and immerse yourself in the southern charm and hospitality that Valdosta has to offer.
