Meet Shannon Devine of Devine Fairytale
I’m Shannon, the Tallahassee-based travel and lifestyle creator behind Devine Fairytale. I share practical travel guides, Disney and Universal tips, Tallahassee recommendations, affordable finds, and ideas that make everyday life a little more fun.
Before creating content for Devine Fairytale full time, I spent my twenties working my way up the management ladder for a national department store. The long hours and holiday shifts eventually made me realize I wanted to build a career around work I genuinely cared about, while having more control over my time. I took a chance, left the steady paycheck, and began creating the business and life I had been looking for.
A Tallahassee Travel and Lifestyle Creator
I grew up in Sebring, Florida, before moving to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University, where I earned my degree in Retail Merchandising and Product Development. More than 15 years later, Tallahassee is still home.
You can usually find me wearing garnet and gold at an FSU football or softball game, trying a local restaurant, attending an event, or adding another place to my Tallahassee list. I love helping readers find restaurants, coffee shops, attractions, events, and day trips that give them more reasons to explore this part of Florida.

A Few Things I Love
Most days include iced coffee, at least one running to-do list, and a little Bravo reality TV. I am usually planning a trip, reading a book, organizing something, or finding another reason to celebrate an ordinary day.
I also believe the things you use often should make life easier or bring you a little happiness. These are a few of the products that have earned a regular place in my routine.
The Story Behind Devine Fairytale
Disney has been part of my life since childhood, and it eventually became part of my own story too. My husband, Johnny, and I were married at Walt Disney World, and Devine Fairytale was our wedding hashtag.
When it was time to choose a new name for the blog, Devine Fairytale felt personal and completely fitting. It connects my name, my Disney memories, and my belief that even everyday moments deserve to be celebrated.
Today, Disney is still an important part of what I share, but Devine Fairytale has grown to include travel destinations, Tallahassee, lifestyle content, and the everyday recommendations I would send to a friend.

Along with creating content, I am an independent travel advisor with Academy Travel specializing in Disney and Universal vacations.
