It’s officially spooky season! Are you ready for a Hocus Pocus spooky movie night?!
One of my favorite Halloween movies is Hocus Pocus (Halloweentown is a close second!) so I put together some fun ideas for a themed movie night at home.
Update: Hocus Pocus 2 will be released on Disney+ on September 30, 2022. With so many of the original cast returning, it looks like this is going to be good!

DIY Hocus Pocus Black Flame Candle
First on the list was to create “The Black Flame Candle” to add to our Halloween decorations. I picked up this black glass candle at the Dollar Tree and got out a sponge brush and Mod Podge to put this DIY together.

If you want to download the label I created to print out yourself and make your own candle, just add your email below and you’ll get the download in your inbox.

Sanderson Sisters’ Brew Cocktail Recipe
Next up, a fun cocktail based off of a seasonal drink offered at Disney’s Pop Century Resort; Pop’s Potion. Beware this is sweet but really delicious!

Sanderson Sisters’ Brew Recipe
Add the following to a shaker cup with ice:
- 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
- 2 ounces Orange Juice
- 1 ounce of Coconut Rum
- 1 ounce of Melon Liqueur
- 1/2 ounce Blue Curacao Liqueur
- Splash of Sweetened Lime Juice
Pour into a glass, top with Sprite or 7 Up, and stir. I added a glow cube and some Smart Sweets gummy worms.

Hocus Pocus Spellbook Brownies

I am obsessed with these Spellbook Brownies! They turned out so cute and were SO easy to make. I baked a box mix of fudge brownies and decorated them with candy eyes and icing to resemble the Sanderson Sisters’ spellbook in the movie.

Watch Hocus Pocus
You can stream Hocus Pocus on Disney+ or catch it on one of the many nights it airs on Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween.

Let me know if you have your own spooky movie night at home or make the Black Flame Candle DIY, I would love to see!
