The Fab 50 statues at Walt Disney World were a big part of the resort’s 50th anniversary celebration, but they’re still here to stay even after the celebration has ended. These golden statues of 50 iconic Disney characters are spread throughout the four theme parks, and they’re a fun way to add a little extra magic to your Disney vacation.

Last Updated: October 2023 – Even though the 50th Celebration ended on March 31, 2023 the statues have not been removed from the parks. They are still available to find and interact with, they have just removed the 50th anniversary emblems.
During the 18-month-long 50th-anniversary celebration, Walt Disney World introduced the Disney World Fab 50 gold statues featuring iconic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Simba, and many more. These statues served as a visual tribute to the park’s history, capturing the essence of beloved stories and characters that have made Disney so magical for generations.
If you have one of the new MagicBand+, you can interact with the Fab 50 statues in a special way. Simply wave your MagicBand Plus at the statue and you’ll be treated to a unique sound or light effect. For example, when you wave at the Mickey Mouse statue, he’ll say one of his famous catchphrases. If you’re near one of the statues, your band may vibrate and light up.
You can “collect” the statues in your Play Disney app if you have a Magic Band Plus connected to the app. Each time you interact with a statue, it will add the card to your quest to collect them all.
The Disney World Fab 50 statues are a great way to celebrate the magic of Disney. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, be sure to check them out on your next trip to Walt Disney World.
