Random Acts of Kindness to Spread Holiday Cheer

The holiday season is a time for giving, but sometimes it can be hard to think of ways to give back. If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are ten random acts of kindness for the holidays that will definitely put a smile on someone’s face this season. Now you can get out there and spread some holiday cheer with Christmas acts of kindness!

What is defined as random acts of kindness?

Random acts of kindness are those that come from a kind and selfless desire to help others without expecting anything in return. It’s simply doing something nice for someone else. What can you do to bring a bit of joy to someone else who wouldn’t expect it?

christmas decorations on white background to give as a random act of kindness to spread holiday cheer - random acts of kindness for the holidays christmas act of kindness

10 Random Acts of Kindness for the Holidays:

1. Pay for the person behind you in line.

This is a great way to brighten someone’s day. Often times people do this at a coffee shop, the perfect fuel for holiday shopping.

2. Make a gift basket for a neighbor or family member.

A gift basket is a nice way to show that you’re thinking of someone during the holidays, and it doesn’t have to be anything fancy. A simple basket filled with some festive treats or a nice candle would be plenty.

3. Donate clothes or toys that you no longer need to a local charity.

There are always people in need, especially during the holidays, so why not declutter your home and give someone else a chance to enjoy your belongings?

4. Offer to help an elderly neighbor or friend.

You can help an elderly neighbor with yard work, shoveling snow, decorating for the holidays, or any other tasks that might be difficult for them to do on their own. A little bit of your time can go a long way, and they’ll certainly appreciate it!

5. Leave a kind note for someone.

This could be done anonymously or not, it’s up to you! But taking the time to write a heartfelt message letting someone know how much they mean to you or thanking them for something they have done for you is sure to fill them with holiday cheer.

6. Give out holiday cards to those around you.

Another small gesture that can go a long way, handing out holiday cards to friends, coworkers, or even strangers. This will definitely bring some joy during this hectic time of year.

7. Hand out baked goods.

This is a great way to spread holiday cheer and show your appreciation for those in your life. Whether you make them yourself or buy some from a bakery, handing out treats is sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. Bring them to work, give them to your delivery drivers, neighbors…really anyone you interact with throughout the year.

8. Volunteer at a food bank or homeless shelter.

Showing love and giving back to those that are less fortunate is a true act of holiday cheer. Spending some time volunteering at a food bank or homeless shelter will not only bring joy to those in need, but it will also make you feel grateful for all that you have.

9. Give your time to those in need.

There are always people and families struggling during the holidays, whether it be financially or emotionally. Offer to help them out with their holiday shopping, cooking, or even just spending time with them to bring some joy into their lives. It’s the thought that counts and they will surely appreciate your efforts.

10. Reach out to someone you haven’t see or talked to in a while.

As life gets busy, sometimes we don’t realize how long it’s been since you last saw or spoke with a friend, family member, or mentor. This holiday season, send a note to someone that you haven’t connected with in a while if they don’t live nearby. If there’s someone who lives in your town, I encourage you to reach out and meet up for coffee or lunch.

The holiday season is all about giving, so why not spread some cheer by performing acts of kindness? From paying for the person behind you in line to leaving a kind note for someone, there are endless ways to make someone’s day this holiday season. What Christmas acts of kindness do you plan on doing this year?

Organize the Holidays with the Best Christmas Planner

What if everything you needed to plan for Christmas was all in one place? This Christmas planner will help you get everything together from holiday décor to all the Christmas movies you plan to watch this holiday season!

The Ultimate Holiday Planner Printable | Christmas Planning, Christmas Checklists, Christmas Activities, Best Christmas Planner

What is a Christmas planner?

This is a tool or method used to organize and plan for the holiday season. A Christmas planner can be used to start planning the holidays and to also execute all of the fun festivities. There is so much to do when the holidays roll around and this planner can help you stay more organized!

Reasons to Use the Best Christmas Planner

The holidays are a busy time for everyone, and it can be tough to keep track of all the different things you need to do. Christmas is especially hectic, with all the shopping, cooking, and entertaining that needs to be done. A Christmas planner can help you stay organized and on top of everything, so you can enjoy the season stress-free. Here are five reasons to use a Christmas planner:

  • Christmas is a busy time of year, and a planner can help you stay organized and on top of your to-do list.
  • A planner can also help you budget for gifts and other holiday expenses.
  • If you have young children, a planner can be a lifesaver when it comes to keeping track of Santa’s schedule.
  • A planner can also help you stay on top of your holiday card list.
  • You’ll have everything located in one place with your planner so it is easy to find the information you need.

Ways to Use a Christmas Planner to Your Advantage

A Christmas planner can be a helpful tool for keeping track of your to-do list, budget, and gift ideas. Here are several ways to use a Christmas planner to your advantage:

  • Make a list of people you need to buy gifts for, along with budgeted amounts. This will help you stay on track financially and make sure you don’t forget anyone important or go over your budget.
  • Plan out time for holiday activities, such as baking cookies or attending parties. This will help you make the most of your holiday season and avoid feeling stressed out.
  • Jot down gift ideas as they come to you. This way, when it comes time to shop, you’ll already have some great ideas in mind.
  • Track your spending throughout the season. This will help you stay within your budget and avoid going into debt.
  • Take some time to plan for next year. At the end of the season, reflect on what worked well and what didn’t. Then, make changes to your plan for next year accordingly. By taking some time to plan ahead, you can make each holiday season even better than the last!

Since this planner is a digital download, you can print more copies of certain pages as needed. This is especially great for the weekly planning page, checklists, and notes page.

You can store these pages in a 3-ring binder or use a clipboard to keep them all together. You could also have the pages printed and bound at an office supply store if you want to get fancy. The only page that is dated is the cover page, other than that, you can use these pages again year after year.

I recommend printing out the gift tags on heavier card stock paper.

What’s included in this planner for Christmas?

The Ultimate Holiday Planner features 40 pages designed to get you set up for a successful and memorable season. Some of the pages that are included:

  • A spot for cookie recipes

Add a teaspoon of oil into the melting chocolates if it is melting too thick.
