The Perfect Blend of Flavors
Caramel Apple Sangria is a harmonious blend of flavors that come together to create a drink that’s both sweet and refreshing. It combines all of the flavors of a classic caramel apple on a stick in the form of a fall adult beverage. Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious Caramel Apple Sangria. This sangria is perfect for all things fall, everything from adult trick-or-treat night at Halloween to Thanksgiving meals.
Ingredients
- 1 Liter Bottle of Crisp White Wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio works well, or a Moscato if you want more sweetness)
- 1 Cup Caramel Vodka (optional)
- 4 Cups Apple Cider
- ¼ Cup Caramel Syrup (additional for topping as well)
- 2-3 Apples, chopped
- Cinnamon Sticks

What You’ll Need
- Knife
- Pitcher
- Long Wooden Spoon
- Cling Wrap
Directions
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Chill Time: At least 3-4 hours
Serves: Approximately 12 glasses
1. Chop your apples into cubes and then place them in the bottom of a large pitcher.
2. Add the caramel syrup, white wine, vodka, and apple cider on top. Add in a couple of cinnamon sticks as well. Stir well to combine ingredients.
3. Cover the pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
4. To serve, add more caramel sauce to the individual glasses and then pour the sangria. Try to get a few of the apple pieces in each glass.

Tips for Making Caramel Apple Sangria
- Don’t chop the apples too thin or you’ll lose out on the nice, crispy crunch.
- Sangria is best made ahead of time so that the flavors can blend together. You can make it up to 24 hours in advance. I like to make this recipe the night before and then let it sit in the refrigerator until it’s time to serve it.
- If you’re serving a large group, double up the recipe. A punch bowl would work great too!

The Magic of Caramel
Caramel takes center stage in this exquisite Caramel Apple Sangria cocktail, infusing it with a comforting, sugary complexity. The velvety, buttery undertones of caramel beautifully harmonize with the lively acidity of the white wine, creating a delightful interplay of flavors that dance across the palate. Moreover, the caramel’s presence adds a delightful contrast to the crispness of the fresh apples, elevating this sangria into a sumptuous, well-balanced beverage that’s perfect for sipping and savoring.

The Fruitiness of Fall
Apples bring a seasonal touch to this sangria. When incorporated into this delightful beverage, the apple pieces serve a dual purpose. First, they impart their natural sweetness that evokes the essence of fall. Second, with every sip, they provide a delightful crunch, adding a textural element that elevates the drinking experience. While a variety of apples can be used in this recipe, I personally prefer the Honeycrisp for its crisp texture and delectably sweet-tart flavor profile, which perfectly complements the overall composition of this fall sangria recipe.
The Wine Choice
Selecting the right wine plays a big role in creating a tasty sangria. For this recipe, it’s smart to go with a fresh and zesty white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc. This type of wine has a clean and clear taste that makes it a great backdrop for the caramel and apple tastes to really stand out. If you feel like the drink needs a touch more sweetness, you can go for Moscato. Just remember, if you use Moscato, you might want to reduce the amount of caramel you put in the sangria to keep the flavors in harmony.

Caramel Apple Sangria Serving Suggestions
Caramel Apple Sangria is a versatile drink that pairs wonderfully with various fall dishes. Serve this fall cocktail at your next gathering! For a sweet touch, offer apple pie or caramel apple tarts for dessert. Serve chilled sangria in individual glasses, with or without ice.
There are so many fun ways to garnish your glasses for the sangria as well. Add a fun, themed fal straw and cinnamon stick on top if you’d like. Or even adding a little bit of edible gold shimmer powder to the glasses would make the sangria sparkle!
