Why should I book my vacation with you?
Planning a vacation shouldn’t be stressful. I will take care of all the details and you get to relax! You’ll receive personalized service and helpful information leading up to your vacation so you are both prepared and excited.
How much does it cost to book with a travel agent?
It’s free! I do not charge any planning fees and I am paid by the suppliers that I book with.
I don’t live in Tallahassee. Can I still work with you?
Yes! I have travel clients all over the United States, even some in other countries. Everything is taken care of over the phone, Zoom, and/or email.
How do I book my vacation with you?
To start the process of booking your dream vacation, fill out one of my quote forms linked on this page. This will ensure I have all of the information I need to give you an accurate and personalized quote. If you aren’t exactly sure where you want to start, feel free to email me: shannon.devine@academytravel.com! Once we decide on a vacation package, I will book directly with the supplier.
How do I pay for my vacation?
Payment amounts, deposits, and deadlines are all set by the destination you are traveling to. When we are booking your vacation I will provide all of this important information to you. I will send over a secure link for you to submit your payment information and then process the payment with the supplier for you. You will approve all payments and amounts!
How do travel agents get paid?
Suppliers, like Disney and Universal, pay commission for bookings to my agency who then pays me. The commission is already built into the cost online so the price will be the same whether you book with me or with the supplier directly. The commission is not paid until after you travel.
Why should I use a travel agent?

How much does a Disney vacation cost?
This depends on your family and travel needs. Factors that affect the cost of your vacation: length of stay, number of people traveling, resort and room type, number of park days, types of tickets, time of year, any qualifying discounts, etc. I will help you make adjustments to get to a price you’re comfortable with. The average cost of the vacations I book for families is about $3,000 – $5,000. Fill out my form for a free quote that is specific to what you’re looking for!
Do you only book travel to Disney?
Nope! I specialize in Disney destinations, but I also book vacations to Universal Orlando, Universal Hollywood, Sea World, Disney and other cruise lines, and all-inclusive resorts.
I’ve already booked my trip. Can you still help me?
If you have already booked a trip to Disney on your own in the last 30 days and have not paid in full, I can help you transfer your reservation to me as your travel agent (it’s a simple form, promise!). If we’re not able to transfer your reservation, I have a TON of Disney resources on my blog and some free downloads that can help you prepare for your tip! Other destination are a little more complicated so send over an email and I’ll see what we can do.
Do you have any special offers?
Special offers and promotions vary by destination, supplier, and time of year. Many times, there are special offers that I’m able to apply for clients. If you have a reservation booked and a new offer comes out, I will apply the offer to any qualifying reservations. Sometimes, I also personally offer booking incentives or giveaways. I have been a travel agent for over 6 years now. The agency I’m with, Academy Travel, is a Diamond Earmarked travel agency with the Walt Disney Travel Company and a Universal U-Preferred Diamond agency. I have completed training for all suppliers that I book and have helped over 100 different clients plan magical vacations.
