An easy fall sangria that tastes just like a caramel apple in a glass. Crisp apples, warm caramel, apple cider, and white wine come together in five minutes and get better as they chill.
1litercrisp white wine(Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
1cup caramel vodkaoptional
4cupsapple cider
1/2cupcaramel sauceplus additional for glasses
2-3appleschopped
2-3cinnamon sticks
Instructions
Chop the apples into cubes or thin slices and add them to the bottom of a large pitcher.
Pour in the caramel syrup, white wine, caramel vodka, and apple cider, then add the cinnamon sticks. Stir well to combine.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
To serve, drizzle extra caramel sauce into each glass, then pour the sangria and add a few apple pieces to every glass.
Notes
Use a crisp, dry white wine and avoid heavily oaked Chardonnay. For a caramel sugar rim, dip the glass in caramel, then in brown sugar before pouring. Keeps three to four days in the fridge in a sealed pitcher. Remove the apples toward the end of that window so they don't break down. For a non alcoholic version, swap the wine and vodka for sparkling apple cider.
