Ingredients

1 Half Gallon Lime Sherbet

1 2 Liter Sprite

1 Gallon Green Berry Rush Hawaiian Punch

Maraschino Cherries (optional)

Devine Fairytale The Grinch Holiday Punch Ingredients

Instructions

Trust me, this is super easy! It will just take a few minutes to put together.

Scoop the lime sherbet into a punch bowl or a pitcher. Pour half of the Sprite and half of the Hawaiian Punch over the sherbet. Stir. Either scoop out of the punch bowl or pour from the pitcher into a glass. Top with a maraschino cherry for the Grinch’s heart.

Substitutions

Sprite Zero also works with this recipe.

Variations

This recipe serves multiple people, but you could also make single servings if you wanted to. Scoop the sherbet into a glass and fill with halfway with Sprite and the other half with Hawaiian Punch.

For an adults only get-together, a shot of Malibu rum or vodka would make this a fun cocktail!

Storage

Unfortunately, this punch is not something that you can save. Drink up!

The Grinch Holiday Punch Tips

Allow the sherbet to soften a bit before scooping out. This will help to blend the ingredients together better.

Using a Cricut machine or finding vinyl cutouts to purchase online of the Grinch’s face would be something fun to add to the punch bowl or pitcher.

Rimming the glasses with red sugar sprinkles would be a festive addition.

Gaylord Palms Christmas Fun

Gaylord Palms Christmas Fun

If you love Christmas, you are going to want to plan a visit to Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida! There is so much fun to be had for the entire family. Gaylord Palms Christmas has a long list of activities: gorgeous Christmas decorations, snow tubing, a fun pop-up holiday bar, Cirque: The Spirit of Christmas show, and Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf interactive experience. I recommend an overnight visit so that you have plenty of time to fit in all of the festivities. Visit until January 2, 2022.

  • Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf
  • Snow Tubing on Snow Flow Mountain
  • Snowball Build & Blast
  • Gingerbread Decorating
  • Cirque: The Spirit of Christmas Show

Gaylord Palms Christmas Trees and Decorations

This resort is beautiful no matter when you visit, but Christmas is extra magical. Take a stroll along the Christmas Tree Trail throughout the Everglades atrium area and find all eight trees.

New for 2021, make sure to view the Shine Light Show. Watch thousands of dancing lights, synchronized to a high-energy, seasonal soundtrack. Animated light curtains glow with Christmas imagery around a centerpiece tree that magically transforms into a gleaming and glowing holiday spectacle. This event happens daily at 9:15pm in the St. Augustine Atrium.

Make sure to find the Christmas Tree Farm and pop up bar. Such a cute photo opportunity and a fun list of unique drinks. I tried the Home for the Holidays that tasted like a twist on coquito made with rum, coconut cream, and pistachio. Other fun options include the Mistletoe Margarita, Reindeer Jive, and A Jolly Good Time.

Mission: Save Christmas featuring Elf

Mission: Save Christmas is a fun, interactive journey through Buddy the Elf’s world. There are so many rooms that look like they are straight out of one of my favorite Christmas movies. This experience is fun for the whole family. Complete enough challenges to muster enough Christmas cheer to power the Kringle 3000 and Santa’s sleigh! This activity, along with many others, is located over in the Convention Center. Purchase tickets online ahead of time to save. Children ages 4-11 are $16.99 and $29.99 for ages 12+. This activity is available from 10:00 am through 7:45 pm daily in 15 minute increments to help space parties out.

Snow Tubing on Snow Flow Mountain

Slide through factory conveyor belts that have frozen solid, and ride on tubes down a slide or hilly ice coaster in the Snow Factory, a mechanized, snowy play space. Must be 42” to ride. This activity is available daily 10:00 am through 8:00 pm. Tickets are $22.99 for all ages and are valid all day for unlimited rides.

Snowball Build & Blast

Build and toss real snowballs to boost the power of the snowmaking machines and earn points in this experience. You’ll get a bin of real snow to make your own snowballs. How fun! Tickets are $11.99 for all ages. The Snow Factory Bar is right there too along with the snowfall plaza.

Gingerbread Decorating

Get to work decorating your gingerbread house or cookies. Once it’s perfect, you can head over for a meet and greet with Nutmeg the gingerbread man. Prices range from $22.99 – $29.99 depending on what you choose to decorate.

Cirque: The Spirit of Christmas

This Cirque-styled Christmas show is something else new for 2021. Watch dazzling acrobatics and high-flying stunts. Shows happen at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm almost daily, with an additional 8:00 pm show on most Saturdays. Head to the Emerald Bay Plaza and prepare to be wowed. We didn’t get to see this while we were there, but I would definitely try to see the night show if you’re able to with all of the lights in the atrium area. Tickets range from $19.99 to $32.99 depending on where you select seats.

Other Tips

There are so many other fun activities, these are just some of the highlights!

If you’re planning on doing multiple activities, look into the Buy More, Save More passes. There are three different levels, plus a weekday pass, to get a better deal than buying the tickets individually! Check out all of the ticket options and availability here.

Parking is not included with any of the ticket purchases. If you are just visiting for the day, the parking is $30. You can pay before leaving on your phone or at a table in the convention center so you don’t have to try to find your wallet while you’re driving out.

There are also special resort packages that can include the Christmas activities plus a guaranteed view of the stage for the Cirque show and the lights from your room’s balcony. Definitely check these options out!

Gaylord Palms is within minutes of the town of Celebration. They have fun Christmas activities you can check out too.

5 Quick Ways to Plan Ahead and Enjoy the Holidays

Halloween is over and now we’re counting down to Thanksgiving and Christmas. This time of year can be stressful so I’m sharing 5 ways to plan ahead and enjoy the holidays this year! Let’s avoid the post-holiday burnout and create special memories instead.

Devine Fairytale 5 Quick Ways to Plan Ahead and Enjoy the Holidays Blog Post Image

If you’re anything like me, you love celebrating and want to fit in all of the festivities that come up but there’s only so many days on the calendar before we ring in the new year. I love this time of year, but it is always the busiest. How can we make the most of it? Let’s get some of that prep work out of the way early so there’s less rushing around at the last minute feeling frazzled.

Here are 5 ways to plan ahead this year

Start decluttering now and be thoughtful about where you donate items. If you need some inspiration to get started on this, you can check out this blog post for some ideas. A pre-holiday declutter will help you feel a little relief before the holiday decorations are being put out and new gifts are coming in. This is definitely the time to focus on clothing that your family has outgrown, toys that aren’t being played with, books you’ve read and aren’t going to read again, etc. Rather than just dropping off donations to one location, take some time to look into where specific items might best serve those in your community, especially during this time of year. If the items you’re letting go of are in new or like-new condition, who can most benefit from them during the holidays?

Figure out your holiday budget. If you don’t start with a budget, you’ll be overspending on SO much. Take into account who you need to get gifts for, any activities you are committed to, special groceries, event specific items you might need, and more. Break down your spending by categories and stick to it!

Get those holiday cards ready. Or maybe you choose not to send them this year. Do what is best for you. If you do choose to send them though, make sure to update any addresses on your list. I personally use a combination of an Excel spreadsheet and a website called Postable. Postable allows you to share a link where your contacts can enter in their information to your address book. It’s also super helpful each year because you can send out an email asking if they need to update any information and it’s all right there when you login. If you need a photo for your card, see if there is a local photographer doing mini sessions or even just set up your own tripod in front of a nice background and do it yourself. Make sure to order your cards early to ensure plenty of time to receive them from the company and then prep them to send out yourself. I have used Minted for the last few years, and you can save 20% using the code FUNDRAISEJLTALLAHASSEE. Using this code helps support the work the Junior League of Tallahassee does in the community and I am a current board member so it is near & dear to my heart.

Create your JOY list and add these items to your schedule. Consider this a type of bucket list for the season. What are all of the things you love doing during this time of year and want to ensure enough time is set aside to make them happen? You know if it doesn’t get scheduled, there’s a pretty good chance that during all of the craziness, it will get missed. Make sure that doesn’t happen!

Use grocery delivery or store pickup to save time. Personally, I use the Shipt app and Walmart Grocery Pickup depending on what’s on my list and the availability of certain items. You can save on your first Walmart Pickup order if you sign up with this link. I save so much time not browsing each aisle of the grocery store. I know what I need and stick to my list, then it’s either delivered to my door or loaded in my car. I highly recommend finding tasks that you can outsource; your time is valuable!

This will give you a head start for a holiday season you can actually enjoy – spend more time with your loved ones and create special memories. What do you like to do ahead of time for a smoother season?
