It’s officially spooky season! One of my favorite Halloween movies is Hocus Pocus (Halloweentown is a close second!) so I put together some fun ideas for a themed movie night home.
First on the list was creating “The Black Flame Candle” to add to our Halloween decorations. I picked up this black glass candle at the Dollar Tree and got out a sponge brush and Mod Podge to put this DIY together.
I created a fun cocktail based off of a seasonal drink offered at Disney’s Pop Century Resort; Pop’s Potion. Beware this is sweet but really delicious!
Sanderson Sister’s Brew Recipe
Add the following to a shaker cup with ice:
- 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
- 2 ounces Orange Juice
- 1 ounce of Coconut Rum
- 1 ounce of Melon Liqueur
- 1/2 ounce Blue Curacao Liqueur
- Splash of Sweetened Lime Juice
Pour into a glass, top with Sprite or 7 Up, and stir. I added a glow cube and some Smart Sweets gummy worms.
I am obsessed with these Spellbook Brownies! They turned out so cute and were really easy to make. I baked a box mix of fudge brownies and decorated them with candy eyes and icing to resemble the spellbook in the movie.
You can stream Hocus Pocus on Disney+ or catch it on one of the many nights it airs on Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween.
Let me know if you have your own spooky movie night at home or make the Black Flame Candle DIY, I would love to see!
